I’m in the middle of what seems like a million home projects right now. Yet I keep switching gears, because projects that involve daily coats of paint get boring.
The hallway has had three frames up there for months – a promise of a wall collage to come. Today I decided to start nailing.
I need to go through our digital photo collections to find and print some photos that show our current life. For now, it’s all wedding and baby photos, with a few blanks thrown in too.
All those photos have been collecting dust in the garage and closets, so it’s nice to enjoy them again.
This isn’t my first wall collage with these frames. We did something pretty identical to today’s project years ago on the living room wall where the couch now sits. I remember having to make frequent excuses to guests (probably just my parents) regarding how many of the frames were always crooked. Maybe being a little tucked away in the hallway, and less of a focal point, will be better.
I’m not very OCD about it at all. Forget laying it all out on the floor, and putting papers up on the wall to plan a layout. WAY to tedious for me! I didn’t even find a pencil to mark the wall today, relying on scratches made by my fingernail instead. Ha! I’m a rule follower to a fault in many areas of life, but I’m a crazy rebel on these craft and home decor projects. Hee hee.
Of course, lack of planning means I need to go scour the garage for more frames to fill the remaining spaces.
