Pretending to Repaint the New Bathroom

bathroom-redo

Well, I discovered something else to occupy my time while waiting to actually occupy the new house – virtually remodeling it in Photoshop. It’s a pretty rough fix-up, but I can already imagine this bathroom becoming a much more sophisticated space for the price of some paint, primer, and a few boards around the mirror.

A Pending Move

All has been quiet on this blog for much too long. But after 8+ years of living in this house, I was finally done decorating. Ha, who am I kidding? I’d love to add subway tile to the kitchen, frame out the second bathroom’s mirror, add shelves to the kids’ rooms, etc. All of that… [Continue Reading]

Office Cubicle Makeover

Of all the cubicles I’ve been decorating, this one is my favorite. Green has long been my favorite color, but orange has taken over my home and my be my actual favorite. So I think that combining the two is just perfect. Here’s a quick and dirty mockup of what I thought it might all… [Continue Reading]

Finished Waiting Area!

I know at first glance, you might think I already shared this room. But I didn’t share the real thing – only a super realistic Photoshop mockup. I’m kind of wishing I hadn’t done that now, because it’s really the same thing, only in real life. Which proves I have crazy awesome Photoshop skills, huh?… [Continue Reading]

Olioboard + An Office Mood Board

OB-Amy's Office

Due to some computer issues this week, I found myself without Photoshop. But I’m in the middle of that big office decorating project, so I really needed to keep making mood boards. I ended up finding an online solution that I actually like even better than Photoshop! It’s called Olioboard. I just found out about… [Continue Reading]

Cloisonné Vase

Lately, I’ve been at Goodwill a lot. I’m still working on decorating that big office space I keep mentioning, and I’ve specifically been buying tons of 50 cent books with good-looking spines. While I’m there, I always scour the home decor section. It’s kind of tricky to look past all the awful junk that’s usually… [Continue Reading]

Office Expedit

My favorite spot in the office I’m decorating is definitely the lounge area. It’s the least office-y, and has kind of been my chance to decorate like I would if I were doing my living room from scratch. At home, my wall of mis-matched shelves is covered in weird boxes of leather and craft supplies.… [Continue Reading]

How to Hang Cork Tiles Without Ruining Your Wall

photo 1

Every office needs a cork or pin board of some sort, but the basic framed one at Staples isn’t very good-looking. For one of the office spaces I’m decorating, I was inspired by this washi-tape covered cork board made with cork tiles. When it came to making my own version, I started out with washi… [Continue Reading]

Photoshopped Waiting Room Design

waitingarea-mockup

I’m not finished with any of the rooms in the office that I’m decorating. But in Photoshop, this one looks pretty dang good. And thankfully, it’s looking pretty identical to this in person at the moment too, minus a few filled frames. I say “thankfully” because this whole office project is my first ever attempt… [Continue Reading]

Thrift Store Finds

My first post today was very wordy and didn’t have a single photo. So I’m bringing you one more post today, full of fun photos! After constantly redecorating my own 1200 square feet to match my evolving design tastes, I’ve been trusted with the task of decorating a very large office building. Eek! Unlike at… [Continue Reading]
